Are you an animal lover? If so, you are not alone. As most people who appreciate furry, feathered and scaly creatures know, it is important to always be kind to animals because they are living, feeling beings, too. To help spread the word, Be Kind to Animals Week happens every May.
From May 7 to 13, people and organizations around the United States are celebrating the importance of kindness toward animals. Here are some ways you can take part:
If you have been wanting to adopt a pet, this could be the perfect week to do so! After all, nothing is kinder than providing a homeless animal with a warm, clean and safe home.
Another way to be kind to animals is by taking care of any pets you already currently have. One of the top ways of doing this is by finding the best veterinary team possible and taking your pet to regular vet appointments.
Although you should never try to touch wildlife, there are many other ways to appreciate wild animals. For example, you could buy a bird feeder and give the birds food in wintertime.
If you notice someone being unkind toward an animal, do not hesitate to say something or report it. By reporting the abuse, you may save a life.
