Dr. Lichtensteiger is from North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Being surrounded by nature and the outdoors, he grew up spending lots of time skiing, sailing, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. He has always been fascinated by science and nature and decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia. He then went on to attend the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan, Canada where he gained his DVM. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Lichtensteiger worked in a small animal practice in Vancouver as a Veterinary Assistant. He has also worked on a cattle ranch in Australia and spent several months in Thailand working with rescue shelters for dogs and wildlife. He loves the diversity that the profession brings, and all the people and creatures that he gets to meet because of it.
