Wellness Exams and Vaccines
We recommend bi-annual exams for pets as an essential part of their overall health care. Our technicians and veterinarians will ask about your pet’s behavior, lifestyle, diet, and exercise. We’ll also check on their current conditions, vaccination schedules, and past medical history.
Complete Pet Dentistry
Our board-certified dentist and support staff offer a wide range of dental care, including cleaning, extractions, and surgery. It’s important to control tartar buildup before it leads to problems such as gingivitis, abscesses, and periodontal disease, or more serious problems such as heart, liver, and kidney disease.
Pet Surgery
Various pet surgery options are available for your dog, cat, bird, or small mammal, including elective surgeries, soft tissue surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries. We always recommend a full physical examination of your pet to determine the best pre-surgical and surgical options.
Exotic Pet Care
Available at Waipahu Waikele Pet Hospital & Makai Pet Hospital only. We love dogs and cats, but also have the expertise and experience to take care of your more exotic pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and birds.
Pet Boarding
24-hour supervision is not available at Wahiawa Pet Hospital. We provide pet boarding for dogs, cats, birds, and small exotics. Our 24-hour supervision includes exercise and feeding. Immunization is required.
Alternative Medicine
Pet Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of disorders, including osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia, intervertebral disc disease, and forelimb or hind limb weakness due to nerve damage. Pet acupuncture is also widely used for many other conditions, such as liver and kidney disease, skin conditions, and reproductive disorders.
Laser Therapy promotes healing in a safe, non-surgical way with no side effects. It can be used to treat arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, general pain, degenerative joint conditions, neurological pain, and soft tissue injuries.
Pet Ultrasonography
Ultrasound allows us to look at a monitor and see the architecture of different organs and search for abnormalities like masses or foreign materials. We can also perform fine needle biopsies without the need for surgery.
Pet Dermatology
There are hundreds of pet skin conditions recognized in dogs and cats. When unchecked, these pet skin conditions can get out of hand and cause major suffering to your pet. Our veterinarians are skilled in many diagnostic methods to determine the cause and prescribe the proper treatments for your pet’s problems.
Pet X-ray Services
We offer digital radiography and review by a board-certified radiologist to quickly detect issues so that treatment can commence as soon as possible.
Pet Cremation Services
Cremation can play an important role in helping you honor and remember a beloved pet that has passed away. We have our own crematory and will provide your pet with a respectful and dignified farewell.
Pregnancy and Reproduction
A full range of reproductive services is available from ovulation timing to cesarean sections. Besides having the only active canine semen-freezing lab in the state, we have the experience you can trust when planning your breeding.
Pet Endoscopy and Laparoscopy
Available at Waipahu Waikele Pet Hospital only. Pet endoscopy and laparoscopy is a minimally invasive way of obtaining tissue samples and removing foreign bodies from the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, and colon without conventional surgery.
